In their own words…
Bee-Fit member, Dawn, describes her experience and what the gym means to her
Bee-Fit is not just your usual gym, it’s so much more. It’s a great community group and social hub. It kept us together and entertained during lockdown and provided us with online sessions and quizzes.
I joined around 4 years ago and I was in a bit of a state tbh. I had depression, anxiety, panic attacks, asthma, autoimmune disease and asthma. They were so accommodating to my capabilities and with the help of my counselling I’m a completely different person. The gym became my anchor, I came every day and got stronger and stronger. I lost 2 stone too with the support of the nutrition advice given there too. Bee-Fit is honestly the key to my success and I cannot thank them enough.
You’re trained by a level 3 personal trainer. They are on the floor all the time. You’re asked at the start of your session what you’d like to work on. You’re then supported throughout your session and even if sometimes you can work as a group, you all work within your own capabilities.
I’m 51 years old and can now do proper press-ups, pull-ups, can chest press my own body weight and deadlift even more. Bee-Fit enable you. They give you the confidence and help you find your inner strength. I’m more capable now than I have ever been. I’m future-proofing myself so I’m fitter, stronger and more able to manage as I get older. This will help my muscular system, as well as my endocrine, immune, lymphatic and circulatory systems working at their best.
Bee-Fit, strong heart, strong mind.
We have our own Bee-Fit members Facebook page to catch up with things going on and even have the odd group evening out.
Please don’t put off another day giving this a try. You get a free trial session anyway. You won’t regret it.
Since writing this for us, Dawn has become a level 3 Personal Trainer and runs the Bee-Box fitness class (open to non-members) and two Dawn Awakenings sessions at 5.30am here at Bee-Fit. Dawn is also a qualified sports massage therapist and has a therapy room in the club. She’s a brilliant poster girl for the club and we are very lucky to have her.
