41 year-old Roopal has two young children aged 6 and 1.

BF:

When did you join Bee-Fit Club?

Roopal:

I initially started exercising at Bee-Fit in March 2017 and had made a lot of progress. I had lost a considerable amount of weight and was trying to become the fittest I could. However, I found out I was pregnant in June 2017, so the exercising came to a halt and the eating went up… on the day I delivered my baby (Feb 2018), I was a whopping 91kgs. I re-joined Bee-Fit when my son was 6 months old at 82kgs.

BF:

What has been your motivation to get fit and lose weight?

Roopal:

My biggest motivation is being a strong, healthy mum to both my kids.  I want to be able to play football and run in the park with them!

When I started, my fitness level was sedentary… I spent the last few months of my pregnancy scoffing down potatoes, sugar and chillies. Towards the end of my pregnancy I felt as big as a whale.

BF:

What was your fitness goal when you joined Bee-Fit?

Roopal:

My goal was to get to a healthy BMI.  At the time I wasn’t educated on how the BMI was the wrong measurement to follow.  I have now been educated by Matt at Bee-Fit that a high muscle weight is healthier- that may mean you have a higher BMI but your muscles are continuously burning fat and it’s a better, healthier state to be in longer term.

BF:

How has Bee-Fit helped you?

Roopal:

I love coming to Bee-Fit! They are authentic in their delivery. At Bee-Fit I feel I am looked after personally. They work on your body type and educate you accordingly. All the trainers are lovely and they see you through your fitness journey. I am very pleased to have found Bee-Fit!

BF:

What fitness regime did you follow prior to joining Bee-Fit?

Roopal:

Before Bee-Fit I tried running, bought various fitness DVDs and Apps. I also joined weight watchers etc- all claimed to turn me into a size 6 model- I never did. I just got bored of routines and lacked self-discipline. Throughout my adult life, I have been to various expensive, exclusive gyms that have made very little difference to my health or weight.

BF:

How often do you train at Bee-Fit?

Roopal:

I try to go to the gym at least 3/4 times a week. Also, as both my kids are young, I spend very little time sitting down.

BF:

Where are you at in your fitness journey?

Roopal:

Today I weigh 64.8kgs, I have lost around 18kgs since I started at Bee-Fit. I have dropped 3/4 dress sizes from size16 to size10/8. I feel a lot lighter, healthier and energised.

My dream goal is to get to 50kgs and reduce my body fat to a healthy range. I hope to lose this weight by the end of this year.

BF:

Do you follow a healthy diet?

Roopal:

Before joining Bee-Fit, I was still on my pregnancy diet, eating lots of unhealthy snacks (biscuits and Bombay mix). Now I follow a strict healthy diet of mostly veg and protein, drink lots of water and green tea. I do have a day off every week- on that day I have 3 biscuits and a very small bowl of Bombay mix or any others – as they are very calorie-heavy.

BF:

Do you have any other comments?

Roopal:

I would like to thank the amazing team of trainers at Bee-fit for completely changing my shape and health. I absolutely love going to the gym now.
