Meet the Trainer
Please give James a big Bee-Fit welcome
Fresh from university and qualified up to his eyeballs with a BSc Hons degree in Exercise and Fitness Management, we are delighted to welcome James Dimond to the training team and to the Bee-Fit family.
With a special interest in nutrition and sports performance, James is devising a gold-standard nutrition support programme that will be offered to members shortly: more information to follow. He will also be joining Matt in doing body comp sessions to increase the number of slots available.
Chelmsford-born James has been interested in fitness since his teens. He was introduced to ice hockey at the age of 10 and by 15 was competing in the under 19s for England. He was also in the GB team for roller hockey for two seasons. Now a member of the Chelmsford Chieftains team, James trains twice a week. He currently has to travel to Lee Valley while the Riverside rink is being refurbished. He trains from 10pm two evenings a week, gets home in the early hours for a few hours kip before starting work at 6am the next day.
This is all very admirable and impressive but it also means that James expects a lot from members in the gym! When asked about his style of training, he says his objective is to get 100% out of everyone, every session. “People underestimate what they can do and my mission is to challenge them to reach their potential and leave the gym session with nothing more to give.” Members’ feedback so far on James’ training certainly attests to this approach!
James’ message to members:
-Don’t underestimate yourself
-ask questions and please approach me about anything fitness-related
Welcome to the Bee-Fit family, James!
