· Yahoo Sports

The Arizona Cardinals are retaining another of their coaches from last season under new head coach Mike LaFleur. According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, linebackers coach Cristian Garcia will return in 2026.

Garcia gives the Cardinals a little continuity with the defense. With defensive coordinator Nick Rallis being retained, Garcia will be one of the voices to remain the same. Garcia was hired last year, replacing Sam Siefkes, who left to become Virginia Tech's defensive coordinator.

Garcia previously was an assistant defensive backs coach for the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders.

Much of last year's defensive staff has departed. Defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere left to coach defensive linemen at Michigan State. Defensive backs coach Patrick Toney became co-defensive coordinator at Ole Miss. Cornerbacks coach Ryan Smith went to the Dallas Cowboys. Defensive quality control coach Ronald booker went to the New York Jets.

With any new reports of defensive coaches leaving, staying or coming in, we will update you.
