Minshew is another journeyman quarterback in a long line of Arizona Cardinals journeyman quarterbacks. Minshew’s last stop was with the Kansas City Chiefs where in his one and only start in 2025 he suffered a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture, after throwing eight passes for 15 yards in the game.
This is a bit of a downer, if this is the only move the Cardinals make at the quarterback position, but Minshew has experience in one year situations, as his last three stops have all been that.
2023 Minshew started 13 games for the Indianapolis Colts, in 2024 Minshew started nine games, and in 2025 Minshew started one game for the Chiefs.
In 2019 he was drafted in the sixth round of the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and spent two years there, helping them get Trevor Lawrence in his final season, he started 20 games and went 7-13, but 1-7 in 2020.
After that he moved on to the Philadelphia Eagles for two seasons and four starts.
Minshew in his career:
17-30 record 63.1% completion rate 11,987 yards, 68 touchdowns, 35 interceptions as well as having made the Pro Bowl in 2023 with the Colts where he had his best season going 7-6 throwing for 3,305 yards and 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
What are your thoughts on the Minshew signing?
