The Denver Broncos have chosen not to splurge on any free agents thus far this offseason, instead focusing on pinning down contributors from last year's team and getting them to sign new deals. This has left a large portion of the team's fanbase frustrated.

It seemed unanimous among fans of the team and experts who cover the league that the Broncos needed to add some more offensive weapons for Bo Nix to work with. Those same people mostly agreed that had the Broncos had those, they would have played in Super Bowl LX.

The Broncos have yet to do much of anything on the offensive side of the ball in free agency, short of re-signing starting running back J.K. Dobbins. Though options at the wide receiver and tight end positions are quickly dwindling, the Broncos still have some good options to consider signing.

Nick Kosmider of The Athletic had the following to say regarding what the Broncos still need this offseason:

"The Broncos as of Friday afternoon were the only team in the NFL that had not signed an external free agent. They have brought back every offensive player who had a touch last season and re-signed both of their primary starters at linebacker last season (Alex Singleton, Justin Strnad). The Broncos, who were 14-3 and earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC in 2025, clearly like their roster and are leaning hard into a draft-and-develop strategy that has helped them dig out of a stretch of seven straight losing seasons that preceded the drafting of quarterback Bo Nix in 2024. Still, the Broncos could use another playmaker. They have their No. 1 running back after re-signing J.K. Dobbins, but another weapon at wide receiver or tight end could help round out an offense seeking more reinforcements in the draft. Among the names that could be interesting for the Broncos are tight ends Dallas Goedert and David Njoku and wide receiver Jauan Jennings."

Offensive free agents Broncos should still consider bringing in

Jauan Jennings, WR

Jauan Jennings is not the No. 1 option that the Broncos truly need, but many would say he's the best option remaining at wide receiver due to his toughness and consistency. In five seasons with the 49ers, he caught 210 passes for 2,581 yards and 22 touchdowns.

He would bring a good option for the Broncos over the middle of the field, one who is capable of catching defenses off guard with some timely big plays.

Tyreek Hill, WR

Perhaps the biggest name still out there is Tyreek Hill, who many feel has a case for the Pro Football Hall of Fame when his career ends. How much of his career does he have left is the most important question.

Hill recently turned 32 years old and is coming off a torn ACL. It's likely that his best days are behind him, but is there enough left to take a shot on him?

Deebo Samuel, WR

Deebo Samuel has been connected to the Broncos as a possibility this offseason and the team is seen as his best fit by several sources, including Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report

Samuel would be a player that Sean Payton could move all over the formation, which could help other players get a big mismatch. The "Joker" in Payton's offense has long been a topic of discussion and while many felt that would be Evan Engram last season, Samuel fits the description much more accurately.

Stefon Diggs, WR

It was reported before the Super Bowl that Stefon Diggs and the Broncos had mutual interest last offseason before the wide receiver ultimately signed with the New England Patriots. The Patriots released him following their Super Bowl loss.

Diggs can definitely still bring something to a team, but would the Broncos want to deal with his off-field issues?

David Njoku, TE

The tight end market has gotten quite shallow and the Broncos chose to give new contracts to Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull rather than look outside the organization.

It seems unlikely that the team will bring in an outside option at this point, but David Njoku could still offer a team an experienced and athletic downfield playmaker.

Jonnu Smith, TE

The Broncos have taken a very frugal approach to free agency and Jonnu Smith would present a bargain option if the team were interested in another tight end. He isn't the best blocker, but he can move the chains in the passing game and be a good dump-down option for the quarterback. He's also been given opportunities to run the ball out of the backfield during his career, so he could offer some versatility as well.
