Arizona Cardinals open to trading out of No. 3 pick

· Yahoo Sports

The 2026 NFL draft is just days away and the Arizona Cardinals would like to trade out of the No. 3 overall pick if possible. When general manager Monti Ossenfort met with the media this week, he said "nothing concrete" had happened in terms of trade talks. Those discussions begin more earnestly on the week of the draft.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Cardinals and the Tennessee Titans are both open to trading out of their picks. The Cardinals have No. 3 overall, while the Titans have the fourth pick.

Fowler names the Dallas Cowboys as a team who could potentially trade up. The Kansas City Chiefs also are believed to be looking for a way to move up. Both the Cowboys and the Chiefs have two first-round picks. The Cowboys have the 12th and 20th picks, while the Chiefs have the ninth and 29th.

ESPN's Matt Miller believes that the Chiefs could move up to No. 3 by sending the Cardinals No. 9 and No. 29 for No. 3 and No. 65.

That wouldn't require the Cardinals lose the number of pick they have, but they would not have a pick in the third round.

The NFL draft begins Thursday, April 23 at 8 p.m. ET. We will see what happens soon enough.
