Report: Rams could revisit A.J. Brown trade after coming ‘really close’ to deal
· Yahoo Sports
After already making one blockbuster trade for Trent McDuffie this offseason, the Los Angeles Rams attempted to make another. They explored a deal for Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown, which likely would have involved Davante Adams, but the two sides never got a trade done.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network talked about just how close the Rams were to acquiring Brown during an appearance on the “Rich Eisen Show” Tuesday, and it sounds like they nearly got across the finish line.
"That was really close," Garafolo said. "It was closer than it got with the Patriots. That was really close. There was one point where overnight it sort of died. It was like, 'Late one night, this could be going down by the next morning. You know what, there's too many moving parts here.'"
Les Snead and Sean McVay have both admitted the Rams talked to the Eagles about a deal for Brown, but they decided against it and chose to keep Adams instead. It’s hard to imagine them bringing Brown in and keeping Adams, but Garafolo isn’t ruling out the possibility of Los Angeles restarting talks.
”I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams re-emerge,” he said, citing the uncertainty with Puka Nacua’s off-field situation. “I wouldn’t not be surprised if the Rams at some point re-engage and check in, and he checks in with them.”
Garafolo doesn’t know if Brown will end up with the Rams, but it sounds like the door is at least open for talks to start back up.
