It didn't take long for A.J. Brown to choose his new jersey number.
The former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver will reportedly be donning the No. 1 jersey for the New England Patriots. It's a decision that was revealed on Monday, after the Patriots shipped a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Eagles for the three-time All-Pro receiver.

For Brown, it's a moment he has probably dreamt about ever since he was a kid. The star wideout grew up a fan of the Patriots, and he was admittedly heartbroken when the team selected N'Keal Harry over him in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Brown was forced to take the alternate path, but it still brought him back to New England in the end. Everything happens for a reason, right?
The Patriots have flipped their wide receiving room upside down with the additions of Brown and Romeo Doubs. They have gone from having a perennial need at the position to having one of the best rooms in the NFL. It's a night-and-day difference that they hope ultimately helps put them over the top as a Super Bowl contender.
