LeBron James is once again the biggest story of free agency after doing so in 2010. While he is 41, he is still a top-tier player who will help a team when he does end up joining one later in this offseason.
James Harden, who is also currently a free agent, is looking forward to LeBron possibly returning home to Cleveland. While Harden declined his player option with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it seems he is recruiting LeBron to join him.

The Cavs might have lost in the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2026 Playoffs, but they showed that they can compete with the best. They might have gotten swept, but they did still get past their previous opponents in a tough series.
With the same core, the Cavaliers have a good foundation. However, that could change if they manage to improve on the roster, as they have a void in the small forward position that is waiting to be filled.

LeBron could be that player because he is near his retirement, but he is still quite productive. That was evident during his final postseason run with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he was impressive yet again. Now, Harden could be the key to getting him to Cleveland.
"I hope he comes to Cleveland. It's a perfect storybook finish. He's at home, you know, for his last year. But he's smart enough. I don't think anybody's pitch is going to move him. You know what I mean? So wherever he decides, the team's gonna be a lot better," Harden said about LeBron potentially joining the Cavs at Fanatics Fest.
If LeBron does end up going home for a third stint with the Cavaliers, this would mark a storybook ending for his legendary career. He could even win a championship with the Cavs again to truly cement himself and the franchise.
