4 quick observations from Bills GM Brandon Beane at 2026 training camp
· Yahoo Sports
With the Buffalo Bills taking the field for the start of their 2026 NFL training camp journey, many faces that will be in western New York lives for the rest of the year.
General manager Brandon Beane was among those, but the general manager of football teams don't talk as often as players or coaches. Because of that, when Beane steps to the mic, it's worth taking note of what was said.

With that, here are Bills Wire's four takeaways from Beane's 2026 training camp press conference:
Still sticking with Keon
Beane has previously backed wide receiver Keon Coleman. By Coleman's own admission, the upcoming season is "make-or-break" for his career. Entering such a pressure-packed year, the GM backed his young wideout once again. Beane said Coleman has "matured" this offseason:
Brandon Beane was highly complimentary of work Keon Coleman has done maturing.

Impressed with how Keon bounced back from early drop today.

Tre's return?
Longtime fan favorite in Buffalo and former Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White is evidently on Beane's mind... to some extent. There is currently a packed cornerback room in Buffalo, but Beane said there is still contact between the team and the 31-year-old cornerback.
White's injuries have slowed his career, but fans would certainly welcome him back:

Faith in another receiver
Beane still is showing faith in wide receiver Josh Palmer, too.
That makes sense since the GM signed him to a decent contract worth $36 million over three years before the 2026 season. Palmer's first year in Buffalo was underwhelming because of injuries, as Beane referenced:

Take your time
Defensive lineman Michael Hoecht sustained an Achilles injury last season but was on the field doing team drills to start training camp. That's a great sign, but Beane urged patience in an effort to make sure Hoecht is on the field for Week 1.
#Bills GM Brandon Beane says they are still trying to be smart with Michael Hoecht’s ramp up…Beane says he thinks he will continue to see him improve & is hoping he’s good to go for Week 1
