GREENSBORO, NC — Brooks Koepka's return to the PGA Tour from LIV Golf never materialized into the season he envisioned.
He's one of several notable names to miss the FedEx Cup playoffs, including Tony Finau, Jason Day, Keegan Bradley and more who we're used to seeing compete in at least the first round.

Only the top 70 reach the postseason, with the field being cut to 50 for the second round before the final 30 reach the finals at East Lake in Atlanta.
Here's a look at names that will be absent from the FedEx St. Jude Championship next week in Memphis, Tennessee.
Beau Hossler (72)
Hossler finished second at the Wyndham Championship, but needed a win to get into the playoffs. The finish jumped him 50 spots in the standings, but he had too big a hole to overcome.
Keegan Bradley (74)
Bradley's inconsistent season had six top-25s but no top 10s. A tough start in the season's first 6 events put the Ryder Cup captain behind the field early and he could never catch up.
"Yeah, it's been a tough like year and a half," he said. "I'm looking forward to getting home and resetting and coming out next year a little fresher maybe."
Davis Thompson (77)
For the third time in four years, Thompson was within 10 spots of making the playoffs. After a 1-over finish Sunday at the Wyndham Championship, Thompson finished 12-over and tied for 14th. He jumped from 81st to 77th in the rankings, but will come up short again.
Tom Hoge (81)
Two years after finishing 27th in the regular season standings, Hoge had a miserable 2026 season in which he missed eight cuts in 24 events.
Jason Day (82)
Day's 18-year playoff streak comes to an end in 2026. After a T-2 at the American Express in his first event of the season, he struggled with consistency. A tough stretch to close out the season included a T-55, T-65, a 68th, two missed cuts and a withdraw in his final six events.
Denny McCarthy (86)
Just three top 25 finishes in 2026 doomed McCarthy after 10 such finishes in 2025 and eight the year before.
Brooks Koepka (94)
The five-time major winner had five missed cuts after rejoining the PGA Tour at the Farmer's Open in February. They overshadowed his six top-25 showings at five top-14 finishes this season.
"Yeah, pretty disappointed. I think it's pretty pathetic that I can't get through. Zero top-10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that's very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and completely reevaluate everything."
Tony Finau (98)
Finau never found his form in 2026, missing the cut in three of his first four events and carding just one top-10.
Billy Horschel (100)
The 2014 FedEx Cup Champion missed 10 cuts in 23 events this season.
Lucas Glover (101)
After rallying for a win at the 2023 Wyndham Championship, a T-18 showing at the Tour Championship, and another playoff appearance in 2025, Glover didn't have his best season in 2026.
