Pat Fitzgerald jokes about Lane Kiffin's transfer portal usage
· Yahoo Sports
This summer, the ever-divisive Lane Kiffin has dominated the conversation around college football as his LSU Tigers work to pry players from just about everywhere possible, including the NFL, leading to some rule changes in conferences like the Big Ten, and from the NFL itself. On Tuesday, Pat Fitzgerald had a pretty good joke about Kiffin and his aggressive use of the transfer portal, in relation to Michigan State offensive tackle Conner Moore.

On Tuesday, Fitzgerald was a guest on MSU radio host Dalton Shetler's program. Shetler proceeded to rattle off the accomplishments of offensive lineman Conner Moore, who was an FCS All-American at Montana State before transferring to Michigan State. Shetler then paused and asked if he should continue, to which Pat Fitzgerald laughed said that Moore is a redshirt senior so it's his last year of college football anyway so he's not at risk of transferring.
Fitzgerald then took a mild shot at Kiffin and his pursuit of NFL players, adding:
“Maybe Lane Kiffin will take him,” Fitzgerald joked. “Is that too soon?”
