The Seattle Seahawks watched the energy inside Lumen Field drain once quarterback Sam Darold went down. But cornerback Josh Jobe got the “12s” exploding in euphoria at the end. By delivering the game-sealing interception to finish off the New England Patriots 13-10.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald dialed up the pressure on Pats quarterback Drake Maye. The AFC champion signal-caller threw up a prayer into the end zone. Mack Collins positioned himself as the intended target.

Jobe, however, leaped to the air and snatched the takeaway. Completing Seattle’s 11th straight victory and winning the Super Bowl rematch.

Jobe and the ‘Hawks, again, needed to fend off adversity. Their Super Bowl winning passer Darnold exited the game following the first offensive drive. Darnold took an early sack and started to limp off the field. He entered inside the blue medical tent before walking into the locker room. Once again, Darnold got ruled out with his lower body NFL Injury.

So head coach Mike Macdonald threw his trust into Drew Lock to carry the offense in Darnold’s absence. Lock and the offense struggled to ignite their offense during the first half. But Lock started to develop a rhythm then got famed wide receiver targets Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp involved in the offense.

Lock finished with 16-of-22 passing for 187 yards and tossed one touchdown to JSN, who sprinted 45 yards into the end zone to tie the game up at 10-10.

New England even operated amid a costly injury on its own side: Receiver AJ Brown leaving with an ankle injury. But the 28-year-old Jobe now has picked off his third career interception, this one handing the champs the season opening win.
