Landon Dickerson injury update: Eagles face OL uncertainty

The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-0 after knocking off an NFC East foe in Week 1, but their offensive line has some serious questions moving forward after Landon Dickerson’s injury.

Head coach Nick Sirianni and the Eagles are typically known for being tough in the trenches. That includes a top O-line in the NFL with Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson and Dickerson blocking for Jalen Hurts.
However, the Eagles will now be without Dickerson for at least four weeks after Philly placed the OL on Injured Reserve. ESPN’s Jeff McLane reports that the Eagles star’s knee injury will prevent him from returning until at least Week 6.
This move puts Philadelphia in a tough spot with a brutal schedule after a Week 2 clash with the Tennessee Titans. Dickerson is a three-time Pro Bowl guard and has been a valuable member of Philly’s OL rotation.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old’s value has also been increased based on his availability.
That’s now a serious question as he heads to IR because that means the Eagles won’t see Dickerson on the field again until at least Week 6. Philly faces several difficult matchups during that span like the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The veteran lineman says that his knee injury isn’t related to what cost him two games on the sidelines in 2025.

Dickerson certainly didn’t perform well against the Washington Commanders in Week 1, so perhaps his injury was a factor. However, the Eagles are now reliant on Drew Kendall or Willie Lampkin to step in to fill the void.
Hurts excelled in Week 1 to give the Birds the lift they needed against their division rival. Although, the O-line will need to improve in future weeks against more stout defensive units.
