The Cleveland Browns secured their first win of the season, as they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-19 in a game that was delayed due to extreme weather conditions.

Deshaun Watson threw for 238 yards and also had two touchdowns for the Browns in the game.
After his outing in Week 1, this was a welcome improvement from the veteran, who has been the subject of criticism from many since he was named as the starter of the Browns.
The Todd Monken-coached team did have some bad moments during the game, such as a few dropped catches, but overall they were solid and held on to the lead they had when the game got suspended.
This was a revenge game for Baker Mayfield as well, as he was facing his former team, but the QB was short of his best, throwing for 182 yards. He was highly inefficient and even failed to deliver on a potential game-winning TD for the Bucs.
Fans react to Watson’s performance
After his Week 1 performance, it was clear that he needed to deliver something special against the Buccaneers to hold the QB spot for Week 3.
While it was not a completely flawless performance, coach Monken would be glad that his decision to keep Watson as the starter paid off.
Fans took to X to express their views on how they felt Watson fared during the game.
“I feel like i’m living in the twilight zone… Deshaun Watson actually playing good for once,” said one fan.
Another added, “Didn’t even need the 400 yards and 5 touchdowns.”
This was in reference to the comments made by Watson during the mid-week press conference where he said the media wanted him to record 400 passing yards and five touchdowns every week.
A user on X also said, “So disappointing when we all expect him to throw for 400 yards and 5 TD every week.”
Some were not happy with his performance, as this could mean that Monken would continue with Watson as his QB.
“Great, now we’re getting another week of Deshaun Watson,” said a fan.
While another remarked, “Now we get to all watch him get booed by Browns fans next week!”
