Lamar Jackson and offseason workouts don't exactly go together too well, and as the Baltimore Ravens began OTAs under the guidance of new head coach Jesse Minter, Lamar was a no-show.

Now, at this stage of the offseason, it is voluntary, so many didn't expect Jackson to be in attendance, but others think it would have been a good look because it is a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, and some other new faces.
So, there could be some cause for concern, right? Having your franchise leader be a no-show as the new regime gets started? Well, Minter isn't too bothered.
"Lamar’s been one of our leaders of the offseason program, and he had a couple things going on yesterday and today, and I do expect him to be back soon," Minter said via Fox Sports. "We’ve had some great conversations. I know when he’s going to be back and again, I’ll probably leave those between me and Lamar."

Jackson absence a nothing burger...yet
Everything is voluntary right now, so there is no pressure for Lamar to be there.
Now, would it be ideal for Jackson to show up in support of the new regime and to get a head start on the new system and everything else? Sure, but there's plenty of time for that.
Still, this doesn't sit well with others, given the pressure Lamar is under to deliver success to Baltimore and the changes on the offensive side of the ball, so getting acclimated as quickly as possible will only mean good things down the line.
But it's voluntary, so Lamar doesn't have to be at OTAs, even though it would be a great look if he were.
