St. Paul remained three games off Indianapolis’ lead pace in the International League second-half race after dropping its third straight game to visiting Toledo, falling 4-1 at CHS Field on Saturday night.

The Saints (73-56) dropped to 31-24 in the second half with the team’s sixth loss in its past 10 games.
Five Mud Hens pitchers combined to throw a five hitter at their hosts, with Toledo starter Jackson Wolf (2-1, 2.16 ERA) struck out 11 St. Paul batters while allowing three hits and four walks.
Kala’i Rosario scored the Saints’ lone run of the contest on a throwing error with two outs in the ninth. Rosario accounted for 40 percent of his team’s hitting in the game by going 2 for 4 at the plate.
Toledo once again sprung out to an early lead by scoring three runs over the first two innings off of St. Paul starter Germán Márquez (0-1, 6.92), who allowed four earned runs, eight hits and four walks over six innings while striking out four.
The two teams meet for the fifth time in their six-game series at 6:37 p.m. Saturday night. Trent Baker (4-3, 5.10) toes the rubber for the Saints against Dylan File (6-8, 5.20) for Toledo.
