Buccaneers waive 2024 second-rounder Chris Braswell

The Buccaneers are parting ways with one of their top picks from the 2024 NFL Draft.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that they are waiving linebacker Chris Braswell as they set their initial 53-man roster on Saturday. Braswell was the 57th overall pick in 2024.

Braswell played in every game during his two seasons with the Bucs. He had 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble during his time in Tampa.
The Bucs used a first-round pick on Rueben Bain this April and they hope that he will join Yaya Diaby to provide the kind of pass rush that the team was lacking last season.
